摘要

本文主旨是在了解希望的概念。筆者是利用Walker和Avant(1995)的概念分析法來澄清希望的定義屬性、確認影響希望概念的前置因子以及希望可能引起的後果。從典型案例中可以了解希望的定義屬性；從邊緣性案例及相反案例中可以了解希望概念與其他相關概念的不同。希望籍此概念分析的結果，能增進護理人員對「希望」概念有進一步的認識，並實際運用在臨床照護上。

The purpose of this paper is to expand our understanding of the concept of hope. The author's intent is to clarify the defining attributes of hope, identify the antecedents that influence the perception of hope and discuss the possible consequences of hope using Walker and Avant's (1995) concept analysis. A model case is used to demonstrate how hope is tied to these critical attributes. A borderline case and a contradictory case are presented to differentiate the concept of hope from other concepts. It is believed that this analysis will help nursing staff to gain a better understanding of the concept of hope and help them apply this knowledge during clinical practice.
