This study describes nursing experiences in caring for a patient who are newly diagnosed with advanced lung adenocarcinoma. The study covers the nursing period from July 2 to July 17, 2018, and adopted the Gordon 11 Health Functions for overall evaluation analysis to determine the health problems of gas exchange disorder, uncertainty, and coping ability of the family. Based on a interdisciplinary teamwork among social workers, the case manager, and physicians, the care and guidance of lung rehabilitation exercises and target therapy were provided in order to strengthen the coping ability of patients and their families when facing the disease and therapy, guide, coordinate, and communicate during the repair of family relations, and reduce the inner sense of uncertainty with the assistance of wardmate support groups. Findings herein can be a reference for colleagues when caring for similar cases in the future.
