This article is about a patient facing severe pain and a huge change in his body and mind due to an accidental burn. From 2019/11/1 to 2019/12/31, data was obtained through medical history collection, physical assessment, observation, interview, medical record review, and medical team discussion, to assess the case for health problems. Problems included: pain; impaired skin integrity; and low self-esteem. Interventions included: use of drugs and non-drug pain control; provision of individual dressing change procedures and rehabilitation autonomy to relieve the pain of the case; health education for wound care and nutritional intake to promote wound healing; understand inner thoughts and feelings through language and non-verbal; and accompany through the treatment process, and encourage bravery to face psychological and social problems. A further recommendation is to integrate the discharge preparation service team and social worker intervention as soon as possible. Additionally, cooperation with the Sunshine Foundation to organize activities so that the case can communicate with burn patients after discharge, so as to obtain more social support and encouragement, and to improve psychological care.
