摘要

古埃及人具有強烈的宗教取向，其藝術幾乎完全是象徵表現，吾人常在其圖畫、雕刻等作品中，見到他們好用類比的象徵手法，展示他們對於自然的認識和人與神祇的關係。他們對於藝術作品所選用的材料、主題、顏色、方向、數目、大小等，皆具有明顯或是神秘的象徵意義。因此，本文探究的這些象徵意義，應當有助於我們瞭解古埃及人的生命情懷與文化特質。

As a strongly religious people in the ancient world, Egyptians expressed their cognition of the nature and the relationship between human and gods by using analogous symbolic methods showed on paintings and engravings. There are obvious or mystical symbolic meanings in material, motif, color, direction, number, and size etc., which they selected in any artwork. Therefore, we may realize their life concerns and cultural traits several thousand years ago by the exploration of the symbolic meaning revealed in ancient Egyptian art.
