Liu Wei Di Huang Wan(LWDHW) is one of the most common used TCM prescriptions. The analysis of utilization polypharmacy with LWDHW for Chinese medicine outpatient health care by National Health Insurance In Taiwan. The LWDHW is the top tenth formula between 2004 and 2005. It is also the first choice drug for the treatment of diabetes. We designed the Electronic Chinese Medical Literature Database Research for the study to ancient chinese medical literatures. To develope a research for literature exploration with a nonaggressive way linked ICD-IO is increasing. Using Chinese medicine books computer analysis program system, the result of statistics in the clinical treatment of ancient LWDHW is 14 items according to ICD-IO category. This study showed that the diseases of skin and subcutaneous tissue in the clinical treatments (345, 18.62%) was the most prescription of LWDHW by TCM physicians in the past. At the same time, the result of analysis also revealed that TCM physicians often used LWDHW combined with Bu Zhong Yi Ci Tang. Schisandra was the most commonly used single Chinese herb . These results could provide clinicians a quick reference guide to understand the theory of traditional Chinese prescription composition being used in the clinical treatments.
