原住民勞工節制飲酒改變歷程之探討：以東部某部落為例

摘要

飲酒行為一直是原住民族生活中的重要議題，本研究依據跨理論模式架構，運用以深度訪談收集資料，探討5位受訪原住民族勞工節制飲酒行為改變的階段歷程。結果發現，受訪原住民族勞工歷經無意圖期、意圖期、準備期、行動期與維持期，每階段皆有其特性。在無意圖期，受訪原住民族勞工缺乏節制飲酒的動機，相信自己可以控制飲酒行為，合理化自己的問題飲酒行為。在意圖期，受訪原住民族勞工承認自自己無法控制飲酒行為。在準備期，受訪原住民族勞工雖有意願但遲遲未有行動。在行動期，受訪原住民族勞工試著節制飲酒。在維持期後，受訪原住民族勞工恢復健康的生活方式。本研究結果為協助有不正常飲酒行為的受訪原住民族勞工，建議依據跨理論模式進行評估後，再針對評估結果採取有效的節制飲酒策略。簡單的說，不同的改變階段應採取不同的策略，這是節制飲酒成功與否的關鍵所在。

Alcohol consumption is an important issue when studying indigenous lifestyles. Using the framework of the Trans-Theoretical Model, this research studied the stages of changed behavior within indigenous people who consume and abused alcohol. The data was compiled by in-depth interviews of five alcoholic indigenous general laborers. The compilation of data suggested that indigenous alcoholic laborers experience five stages of changed behavior: pre-contemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, and maintenance; and each stage was marked by unique differences. In the pre-contemplation stage, the interviewed respondents lacked motivation for change. They rationalized their behaviors of alcoholism and believed they could take control of their drinking behaviors. In the contemplation stage, the interviewed realized they had drinking problems and that they could not control their drinking behaviors. In the preparation stage, despite their wish to abstain from drinking alcohol, the inter-viewed still were hesitant to take action. In the action stage, respondents tried to exercise self-control and resisted the temptation to abuse alcohol. Finally, during the maintenance stage, the interviewed laborers moved towards living a healthier lifestyle by not drinking in excess. The study concludes, to assist the interviewed Indigenous laborers, we suggest using the Trans-Theoretical Model to evaluate which stage of behavior they are in. Based on the results of the evaluation, different strategies should be employed. Simply stated, the key to successfully assisting behavioral changes with indigenous laborers is to adapt different strategies for each stage of change.
