腎臟保健教學光碟於慢性腎臟病高危險群民眾知識、態度及行為之運用成效探討

The Effects of the Kidney Health Promotion Teaching Videodiscon the High Risk Clients of Chronic Kidney Disease

摘要


The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of teaching videodisc for kidney health promotion in preventing chronic kidney disease. Owing to the rapidly increasing number of chronic kidney disease clients around the world, effective prevention of chronic kidney disease has become a priority in many countries including Taiwan. As effective health education is crucial to the prevention and treatment of chronic health disease, it is necessary to examine the effectiveness of the teaching tools used. In this study a quasi-experimental design was employed. First, convenient sampling was used to select 16 groups of patients with a high risk of chronic kidney disease. The subjects were then randomly assigned to the experimental group and control group and a total of 265 subjects participated in the study. The structured questionnaire was used to measure knowledge, attitude and behavior of chronic kidney disease prevention. The results indicated that the scores for knowledge, attitude and behavior in the immediate post-test were better than those of the pre-test in the experimental group. The experimental group's scores for knowledge and attitude in immediate post-test were also significantly better than those of the control group (p < .05). The kidney health promotion teaching videodisc may therefore offer a useful teaching tool for chronic kidney disease prevention particularly for improving the knowledge and attitude of the general public.
