本研究目的在於了解臺灣日文系以外的日語學習者之學習困擾與其學習動機,並探討學習困擾與學習動機的關連性。本研究以大學第二外語日文班的非日文系學生為對象(含初級班,中級班學生,共計239名)實施問卷調查後,進行統計分析。研究結果顯示,非主修日文學生之學習困擾為「缺乏適當的學習環境」,「日語運用能力之不足」,「課堂焦慮」,「音聲習得方面的困擾」,「日語使用機會之不足」及「缺乏自我效能」等6項因素。非主修日文學生的日語學習動機則為:「重視實用性取向」,「對大眾文化的興趣」,「與日本的關連性取向」,「對日本文化的興趣」,「對日語學習的興趣」,「交流取向」及「重視外在評價取向」等7項因素。同時,學習困擾會影響日語的學習動機。本研究建議日語教師可先著眼於改善非主修日文學生的「自我效能」與「音聲習得」方面的學習困擾,以促進學生的學習動機。
This study investigates the factors affecting perseverance in studying Japanese as a Foreign Language, outlining the correlation between learning difficulties and motivation of Japanese Language Non-Majors in Taiwan.Research results are based on 239 questionnaires completed by university students. According to factor analysis and multiple-regression analysis, results indicate that learning difficulties consist of six major factors: inadequate learning environment; insufficiency of practical skills in advanced Japanese expressions; speech anxiety in class; pronunciation acquisition problem; scarcity of Japanese using opportunity; Self-Efficacy Loss.Motivations consist of seven factors: Emphasis on Practicality Orientation; Interest in Popular Culture; Japan-Related Orientation; Interest in Japanese Culture; Interest in Japanese Learning; Interaction Orientation; and Emphasis on External Appraisal Orientation.This study also indicates how the learning difficulties can impact the different motivations and provide a recommendation for Japanese Language instructors on potential opportunities of improvement in areas of Self-Efficacy Loss and pronunciation acquisition problem.
