日本の対米従属の離脱とアジア回帰の位置づけ

第二次世界大戦中、日本が西太平洋の大半を席巻していたが、結局負けて国内が壊滅状態となった。日本は戦後復興を図ろうとするものの、日本に侵略されたアジア諸国に対する戦後賠償問題が取り上げられた。しかし、冷戦の形成によって日本の戦後賠償を主導するアメリカが日本をアジアでの反共基地とするため、占領政策を転換し、日本の戦後復興を順調に遂げさせた。その一方、この政策の転換によって日本の対米従属が進んでいくようになった。新冷戦と言われる米中対立のなか、従属化を離脱して自主化に変えていくのが日本の新たな選択肢のひとつとなっている。
