糜文開、裴溥言《詩經欣賞與研究》之研究方法與價值

摘要

1960年糜文開（1908-1983）、裴溥言（1921-2017）因教學需要，撰寫《詩經》賞析、翻譯，後持續寫作，發表至雜誌、月刊、廣受歡迎。1964年起至1983年，陸續出版四冊《詩經欣賞與研究》，1987年改版刊行「改編版」。《詩經欣賞與研究》字數近百萬，解析詳盡，文筆優美，啟發多端。《詩經欣賞與研究》以充分的證據，精密的論理，深入闡發文本意義，以多元角度詮釋詩歌，增進讀者閱讀興趣，拓展知識廣度，是以出版以來，備受歡迎。該書繼承民國初年為傳統學術重新評價、詮釋的思潮，回歸《詩經》文本的詩歌性質，進行欣賞分析。至此，詩歌原初的藝術情趣得以自由地抒發，外延知識的探索不再受限於預設的「真理」。糜文開、裴溥言廣博地運用、綜合前人研究成果，使用清代發展成熟的經學研究方法，為《詩經》進行欣賞、解釋、研究的工作。必須特別指出的是：他們繼承新文化運動以來擺脫傳統經學解釋的革新精神，但是在研究方法上，仍延續清代經學發展出的漢、宋學方法，並採用許多清代學者的說法。簡言之：《詩經欣賞與研究》會貫清代至民初對《詩經》學研究在觀點與方法上的優點，這是其在《詩經》學研究史上的意義與價值。

Due to their teaching requirements, Mi Wen-kai and Pei Pu-yan began to write about the appreciation of The Book of Songs in 1960. Their works were warmly welcomed and from 1964 to 1983 they published the four volume Appreciation and Study of the Book of Songs. Today this work is important not only as a textbook but also due to its scholarly significance and methodology. Accepting the spirit of the New Culture Movement's view of the Confucian classics, they explained The Book of Songs without traditional interpretative restrictions, using a flexible approach to explain the content and meaning of the work. However, in terms of their research methodology, Mi and Pei are still reliant on Qing Dynasty Confucian classical studies, citing numerous Qing scholars' opinions. Briefly put, Appreciation and Study of the Book of Songs, is significant and valuable because it synthesizes studies of The Book of Songs from the Qing until the early Republican period.
