摘要

本研究旨在探討嘉義縣塗溝社區老人日間照顧中心對高齡者在地老化的功能，本研究採用質性訪談、參與觀察及文件分析方法進行研究，研究結論顯示老人日間照顧中心具備以下功能：（一）能有效促進高齡者生理健康與獨立生活的能力；（二）高齡者經由課程和活動的參與，在互動中激發心智能力、學習新知並好解煩悶；（三）能擴大高齡者非正式的社會支持網絡，保持社會角色與功能的延續；（四）具有培養高齡者不同的興趣和嗜好的功能，提升心靈的滿足咸；（五）具有引導高齡者再次貢獻社區、及再造人生價值之功能。

The purposes of this study are to explore the functions of the elders' aging in place in Day Care Center of Tu Gou community. The qualitative interview, participated observation, and document analysis were used as the methodology of this study. The research conclusions were specified as follows: (1) The center can facilitate elder’s health and independent living ability effectively. (2) Elders can inspire their mind within interaction, learn new knowledge, and relieve their oppressive mood through attending the courses in the center. (3) Elders can extend their informal social supporting network, keeping social roles, and sustaining social functions in the center. (4) The center can cultivate the elder's diverse interesting and hobbies, and promote the satisfaction of spirit. (5) The center has the functions of guiding elders to re-contribute the community, and recreating life values.
