啟智教養機構女性更年期保健教育課程之發展與可行性

The Effectiveness of Self-developed Climacteric Health Education Curriculum for Institutionalized Female Residents with Moderate and Severe Intellectual Disabilities

摘要


目的:本研究昌在探討更年期保健教育課程對啟智教養機構中、重度女性智障研究對象的教學成效。方法:研究者採文獻探討、專家建議及研究者本身專業知能等方式,發展適用於中、重度女性智障研究對象的更年期保健教育之教學內容與相關教學活動,並設計各式評量工具,以瞭解研究對象在實驗教學前後的改變情形。本研究之更年期保健教育課程,以「更年期保健教育」為主軸,概分為「基礎課程」與「進階課程」兩階段,共設計十一個學習單元,並使用認知、情意、技能教學目標的評量工具,以瞭解教學前後之改變情形;另外,研究者編製「更年期保健教育登禮教學成效訪談題綱」配合量化資料,來探討實驗教學的利弊得失。結果:研究結果顯示,認知評量有長達四週的保留效果,但漸遺忘學習內容,動態教學活動較能引起研究對象的注意力,使其不易分心,研究對象對於電腦多媒體等聲光設備很好奇,對於影片、圖片或照片中的訊息很成興趣,也較能記住其中所強調的重點;而教學時提供成功的學習經驗,能提升研究對象的學習動機;在行為改變部份,研究對象的上課專注力約能維持15-30分鐘,上課的參與程度與反應正確率有提升,研究對象間的互動有增加,而在履行相關保健活動的意願與主動性有進步;在態度上,研究對象較能主動表達感受,以及能體會健康生活習慣的重要。結論:整體而言,教學者、生活輔導員及參與課程之研究對象對本更年期保健教育課程感到滿意,教學者提出相關修改建議,以作為未來實施本課程之參考。

Aims: The purpose of this research was to examine the effectiveness of a self-developed climacteric health education curriculum for 16 institutionalized female residents with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. Methods: The self-developed climacteric health education curriculum which included two stages, three subcomponents, with a total of 11 unit lessons. The dependent variables included the percentage of correct responses from self-developed cognition test, self-reported attitude scale, as well as the direct observation of behavioral changes after the intervention. Results: The significant immediate effect among all participants. The majority of the participants showed their preferences in attending the classes. Maintenance effects after 4 weeks of intervention as well as a satisfactory generalized effect were also found. The qualitative results indicated that the dynamic teaching activities increased the attention, motivation, and interactions during the intervention phase. After the intervention, many participants still carried out the related health care activities by themselves, and expressed the importance of taking good care of their own health independently. Conclusion: The instructors, the care givers in the institution, and the participants were satisfied with the overall effectiveness of the self-developed climacteric health education curriculum. The analyses of the results shed some light of the future adaptation of this curriculum.
