優良繪本中環境教育內涵之研究:以台中地區幼教老師推薦為例

A Study of Environmental Education Content Presented in High-Quality Picture Books: Samples Recommended by Taichung County Early Childhood Teachers

摘要


在政府推動九年一貫課程改革之際,幼教從業人員是否能選擇適當的繪本成為紮根與銜接國小環境教育的一環,為本研究之研究重點。研究者運用問卷調查中部地區幼兒園所老師推薦出最優良的40本繪本,再以教育部九年一貫課程環境教育議題中的5個內涵為主類目,11項主題為次類目進行分析。結果發現:一、環境教育概念之量的分析,在主類目方面以「環境覺知與環境敏感度」出現的比例最高;在次類目方面,以「自然環境的體驗」出現比例最高。二、環境教育內涵之質性分析方面,繪本中曾透露出諸如「大自然具有療癒的效果」、「種花的行動有助於增進身體健康」、「自然美景可以軟化個性,改變性情」的訊息,而這些並未在九年一貫課程環境教育議題的內涵與主題中呈現。根據研究結果,進一步對繪本出版業、幼教從業人員、師資培育機構及未來研究提出具體之建議。

The purpose of this research is to determine if early childhood teachers can choose appropriate picture books as a foundation for elementary environmental education, as the government pushes forward the Nine-Year Integrated Curriculum. Kindergarten teachers from central Taiwan were asked to recommend high-quality picture books to serve as a basis for environmental education. The researcher used five domains of the Nine-Year Integrated Environmental Education Curriculum as main categories and eleven items as sub-categories for analysis of the 40 most frequently suggested books. The results were as follows: first, with respect to the quantity of environmental education content, the category most frequently covered was ”environmental awareness and environmental sensitivity”. The most frequently covered sub-category was ”the experience of the natural environment”. Second, analysis of the quality of environmental education content showed that some messages were not included in the Nine-Year Integrated Environmental Education Curriculum, such as ”nature has healing effects”, ”the action of planting flowers can enhance health”, and ”natural scenery can soften or change one's temper”. The author makes suggestions for picture books publishers, early childhood teachers, teacher training institutes, and other institutions providing early childhood education.
