論陶淵明四仕四隱之官場生活與心境

Research of Tao Yuanming's Four-Time-Resign Official Life and His Mental States

摘要

據筆者過去的研究：陶淵明出生於東晉廢帝太和三年(368)，卒於元嘉四年(427)，享年六十歲。本文以此為基礎，研究陶淵明的官場生涯與心境，得到如下的結論：
1、一生凡四仕四辭，前後共十年。
2、二十九歲(396)，作江州祭酒，主官是王凝之；因理念不合而辭職。
3、三十一歲(398)，作鎮軍參軍，主官是桓玄；因守母喪而去官。
4、三十七歲(404)，作建威參軍，主官是劉敬宣，在尋陽任官。
5、三十八歲(405)，三月，劉敬宣辭江州刺史，隨劉敬宣赴宣城。
6、三十八歲(405)，八月，劉裕授予彭澤令，十一月，因個性剛介而解職。
另外也發現了若干與其家庭生活有關的事項：
1、三十四歲(401)，娶繼室。
2、五子中前四子為前妻所生，第五子為繼室所生。
3、二十七歲(394)生長子儼（阿舒），二十九歲(396)生次子俟（阿宣），三十歲(397)生三子份（阿雍）和四子佚（阿端），三十五歲(402)生五子佟（阿通）。

According to the author's past researches, Tao Yuanming was born in AD 368 (Eastern Jin Dynasty Fei Emperor Taihe Third year) and died in AD 427 (Yuanjia Fourth year). He died at the age of 60 years old. Under the basis, the article studies Tao Yuanming's official life as well as his mental states, reaching following conclusions:
1. He resigned from official life four times, altogether ten years.
2. At 29 year-old (396), he served as officer of Jiangzhou, he resigned due to the dissension with his superior, Wang Ningzhi.
3. At 31 year-old (398), he worked as a staff officer of a military leader, Huan Xuan. Tao resigned to observe mourning for his mother.
4. At 37 year-old (404), he workd as a staff officer of General Jianwei in Xunyang, the provincial governor was Liu Jingxuan.
5. At 38 year-old (405), Liu Jingxuan resigned Jiangzhou provincial governor in March, Tao followed Liu to Xuancheng.
6. At 38 year-old (405), in November, Liu Yu awarded Tao Yuanming as Pengze County magistrate, Tao left because of his unyielding temper.
Besides, several facts related to Tao' family life are discovered:
1. At 34 year-old (401), Tao married the second wife.
2. Among Tao's five children, the first four were born by his first wife while the fifth was born by the second wife.
3. At 27 year-old (394), the eldest son 'Yen' (A Shu) was born, and then the second son 'Si' (A Suan) was born when he's 29 (396). At 30 year-old (397), his wife borne the third son 'Fen' (A Yong) and fourth son 'Yi' (A Duan). The fifth son 'Tong' (A Tong) was born when Tao's 35 (402).
