音樂偏好與華人心理健康之相關性－以大學生為對象之前趨研究
The Correlation between Music Preference and Mental Health among Chinese College students-A Pilot Study
摘要
研究目的：音樂，是人們不可或缺的休閒嗜好。國外有許多文獻探討音樂偏好與人格的相關性，然而，尚未有以華人為研究樣本的論文探討相關議題。本研究期透過問卷和心理健康量表，了解華人大學生音樂偏好與心理健康之相關性。研究方法：以台北縣某大學的華人大學生為研究對象，填寫曾氏心理健康量表與音樂喜好問卷，回收問卷共114份。研究結果：本研究結果顯示華人大學生最喜歡的音樂類型前三項依序為國語流行歌曲、西洋流行歌曲及輕音樂／水晶音樂。其中，偏好聆聽重金屬音樂／搖滾樂與焦慮量表有顯著正相關，而偏好聆聽國語老歌與西洋流行歌曲與憂鬱量表有顯著負相關。研究結論：由本研究可發現一些特定音樂類型與焦慮、憂鬱情緒相關，其影響機制可能在於樂曲的音調、節奏、歌詞甚至為生活環境。本研究為前趨研究，建議未來相關研究可擴大樣本，並且就不同類型的音樂特性、台灣特有音樂類型以及在不同音樂類型中選取代表性之樂曲以探討與心理健康之相關性。

Purpose: Music is an important leisure activity in our lives. There is much foreign literature discussing the correlation between music preference and mental health. However, there is no related domestic literature focusing on Chinese subjects. The purpose of the study was to explore the correlation between music preference and mental health among Chinese college students. Methods: Students from a university in Taipei County were recruited to complete Zung's Mental Health Scale and Music Preference Questionnaire. 114 questionnaires were returned. Results: The results showed that Chinese college students' favorite music styles were Chinese popular songs, western popular songs, and light music/crystal music in order. Preference of heavy metal music/rock-and-roll showed significant positive correlation to anxiety scale while preference of Chinese old songs and western popular songs showed significant negative correlation to depression scale. Conclusions: This study found that some particular music styles are correlated to anxiety and depression. The effect mechanism might be related to the tune, rhythm, lyrics of the music, and living environment. Since the study is a pilot study, it is suggested that future research could enlarge samples and explore the correlation between mental health and different music characteristic, particular Taiwanese music styles, and representative songs for different music styles.
