失智症家屬支持團體運用即時通訊平台社群軟體LINE對照護者之照護負擔及困擾之影響

目的：探討失智症之照顧者加入失智症家屬支持團體並運用即時通訊軟體LINE，是否有助於彼此間照護經驗分享及交流訊息，來降低照護者負擔及失智症者問題行為所造成的困擾。方法：以北部某區域醫院失智症中心的家屬支持團體之主要照顧者並使用即時通訊平台社群軟體LINE為研究對象，採橫斷性描述性研究設計，以結構式問卷收集資料，期間為2017年01月01日至2018年12月31日止，有效問卷143份。結果：失智症家屬支持團體結合使用即時通訊平台社群軟體LINE後，對失智症者主要照顧者之照顧負荷及困擾減輕有明顯幫助。結論：失智症主要照顧者運用即時通訊平台社群軟體LINE可以在一天的任何時間進行交流，促進社交聯繫補足面對面家屬支持團體的不足，進而降低照顧者之壓力與負荷及失智症問題行為所造成的困擾。

Objective: To investigate whether the participation of dementia caregivers in a dementia family support group and the use of the instant messaging LINE software help share caregiving experiences and exchange information to reduce caregiver burden and the distress caused by problematic behaviors of dementia patients. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted with 143 valid questionnaires from January 01, 2017 to December 31, 2018, using the instant messaging platform LINE as the primary caregivers in a dementia support group at a regional hospital in northern Taiwan. Results: The combination of the dementia family support group and the use of LINE significantly helped reduce the caregiving burden and distress of primary caregivers of dementia patients. Conclusion: The instant messaging platform LINE among primary caregivers of dementia patients allows instant communication anytime. It facilitates social connections, complements the deficiency of face-to-face family support group, and further reduces caregiving stress and burden and the distress caused by problematic dementia behaviors.
