《古城月報》與五十年代中期馬六甲華校生文學生產初探─以〈古城新語〉和〈學園〉為研究對象

A Study on Literary Production of Malacca's Chinese Students in the Mid-1950's -The Case of Gu Cheng Xin Yu and Xue Yuan from Koo Cheng Yeh Pao

摘要


馬六甲的華文文學創作或文學活動總被視為沒落而不足以觀之,但值得注意的是,在1950年代期間,馬六甲學生在文學創作方面卻有著強盛而蓬勃的生產力,這股生產力催生了不少以後的馬華作家。其中,有不少尚是學生的馬華作家曾在這個時期積極寫作,並投稿至各大報章副刊、學生文藝刊物,為馬六甲文壇做著拓荒的工作。然而,這一段歷史卻被人忽略,緣此,本文擬就1950年代出版的當地報刊—《古城月報》的文藝副刊做為研究的切入點,嘗試窺探1950年代中期馬六甲青年學生的文學生產情況,並瞭解當時這批年輕人所關心的文學主題。本文試圖透過「文學傳播學」理論的運用,分析《古城月報》主編的編輯方針、作者的創作風格等方面,以釐清馬六甲文學生產與傳播的意義。

The literary production and activities of Chinese literature in Malacca was considered declined and neglected by academic. But in 1950's, the literary production of Malacca's Chinese students was abundance and many of them became the famous Malaysian Chinese writers in Chinese literature of the local. These students produced literary works actively, in the mean time they were also being the pioneer of literary arts on contributing the supplements of newspapers, literary magazines of publication. This article is trying to compile the information from the literature arts supplement of the local publisher's, Koo Cheng Yeh Pao (《古城月報》), to discuss the development of literatures in 1950's which produced by the Malacca Chinese students, and the trend the community concerned about in 1950's despite this history is still being neglected by the public. Hence, the mission of this article is to analyze the editorial style of the editor's and the literature theme of the authors' through Koo Cheng Yeh Pao and apply the theory of ”Literature Communication”, to differentiate the significant meaning of the literature production and communication of Malacca.
