摘要


傳承是其中一項建構馬來西亞華文教育認同的重要環節,也是華社對華文教育存朽的歷史共識和尚需進一步提升的長期性文化工程。閩南籍儒商楊忠禮作為一位具有厚重傳承觀念的人,在繼承與積極推動教育傳承的過程中,結合其國際企業家和展望型華教發展者的眼光,展現非常獨特的傳承特質,不僅樹立鮮明的風格,也創造出色的傳承典範,為其有始有終的興學辦教歷程突顯有為傳承的重要意義。

The act of inheritance is an important element to develop sense of identification with Chinese education. It also serves as a historical consensus of the Chinese community for the survival of Chinese education and a long-term cultural project that needs to be further developed. Yeoh Tiong Lay, a Confucian entrepreneur of Hokkienese origin and a man with strong sense of inheritance who made good use of his vision as an international entrepreneur and a prospect-oriented Chinese education developer, demonstrated his very unique characteristics while actively promoting the educational heritage. He was not only successful in establishing a clear and distinctive style, but also creating an outstanding inheritance model of his style. In this regard, the significance of his persistant and dedicated spirit shown in the development of Chinese education was highlighted.
