數位印刷在模內裝飾產業上應用之研究

A Study of the Digital Printing Application in In-Mold Decoration

摘要


由於數位科技的進步,電腦(Computer)、通訊(Communication)以及消費性電子產品(Consumer Electronics)已逐漸整合成一個3C產業(Computer;Communication;Consumer Electronics),因此在未來3C產業將會是急遽成長的市場。而產品表面外觀設計的美感與造型更是產品設計中一項重要的開發要點,也是吸引消費者購買慾望的考量要點。在現有的表面塗裝技術中,模內裝飾(In-Mold Decoration,IMD)可說是最具有競爭力的技術,不但可節省製程時間與降低成本,對於應用在產品表面裝飾上更能呈現出多樣化的特色,具有提高質量、提高產品耐久性等優點。在傳統的模內裝飾印刷製程中,乃是使用網版印刷來印製塑膠薄膜表面之圖像,而網版印刷的最大特點是印刷墨層厚、承印材料廣泛等優點,但缺點卻是印製速度慢、生產量低,不適合快速大量之印刷品。而數位印刷的特色是可進行少量多樣以及立即性,如果能替代網版印刷在模內裝飾製程中之印刷方式,不但可再縮短製程,更能創造出更大的附加價值於產品上。

Owing to digital technology progress, Computer, Communication and Consumer Electronics have integratied 3C industry by degrees, the markets of the 3C industry will grow very rapidly in future. One of important development points in product design is products surface modeling. It is also an attractiveness for consumers to purchase products. Among all of the surface painting technique, IMD (In-Mold Decoration) is the best which has compete-itiveness technique. It does not only conserve system regulation times and cost down, but also assume variety in product surface accouterments, moreover, advance quality and durability of products. During the process of traditional IMD printing system, the plastic film surface image is printed by screen printing. The advantage of the screen printing is that ink film is thick and the printed material is broadly-based. However, the defects are speed of printing is slow and amount of production is little. The characteristics of Digital Printing is that it can print less amount of quantity but various kinds immediately. If the Digital Printing can be replaced traditional IMD printing system, it can not only shorten regulation of system, but also create additional values in products.
