在進階英語會話課中,老師教學生各種情況下會用到的英文,但語言是很微妙的,所傳達的不只是字面上的意思,而且根據不同情況有不同的意思,英語會話老師是否應就語言行為理論字面以外的含意加以解釋?此為本篇討論的內容。

In advanced English class in Taiwan, ESL teachers usually teach students conversation they may use in daily life. In real American culture and life, often the sentences being said have the literal meanings and the secondary meanings according to different situations. Should ESL teachers teach Speech Act Theory to the students and explain different meanings in different situations? That is what we will discuss in this paper.
