Nursing is the profession of holistic care, including physical, psychological, social, and spiritual care. However, nurses often lack of the abilities of spiritual care that should be cultivated starting from nursing education. This paper is to introduce the related literature of spiritual nursing education, including definitions of spirituality, the importance of spiritual nursing education, current status of spiritual nursing education, and spiritual nursing teaching. Based on the conclusion of literature review, the author proposed the suggestions of future spiritual nursing education. Through sharing with the literature review of spiritual nursing education, it is expected to inspire more nursing educators to involve within the spiritual education of nursing students, cultivating them as the professionally spiritual nurses to improve the quality of care for the patients.
