As Taiwan has entered into an aged society, the elderly ratio in regard to death population is increasing year by year. Good death is an ordinary hope for people who are facing death issue; however this wish may not be realized under current medical system. The objects of this research are to explore the possible good death barriers due to current medical system, and finally to come up with certain death educational suggestions which may guard the good death right for the elderly. Based on related literatures, this study discusses the reasons why good death may not be realized under current medical system and provides certain practical strategies. This research points out the importance of advance care planning. This study also explores current situation of good death programs provided by educational institutions for senior citizens. Finally, short and medium range educational strategies for educational institutions for senior citizens are suggested to fulfill good death realization.
