醫院員工工作壓力對職場疲勞的影響-以台中區醫院護理人員為例

Impact of Hospital Personnel's Job Stress on Workplace Burnout: An Example of Nursing Personnel of Hospitals in Taichung City

摘要


目的 由於健保給付政策的影響,醫院管理面臨了成本與品質雙重考量的挑戰,使得醫院員工也面臨了長期工作負荷與壓力造成疲勞的現象。本研究探討員工工作壓力對疲勞的影響,研究結果可以提醫院管理者在改善員工工作壓力,建立一個友善工作環境的參考。方法 採用橫斷式研究設計,以台中區醫院護理人員為研究對象,共發放600份問卷,回收份問卷491。研究資料以SPSS 20.0版本統計分析軟體進行資料的描述性與推論性統計分析。結果 研究結果發現:受訪員工的性別會影響其對職場疲勞與工作壓力的知覺。醫院層級會影響員工對職場疲勞的知覺。工作壓力會影響員工的職場疲勞知覺。結論 建議醫院管理者可以推廣員工減壓活動,以休閒活動結合醫療照護相關議題,讓在高壓力職場環境中的護理人員,得到心生理健康與安全滿足,並將滿足轉向對照護品質與服務重視的提升。

Purposes Affected by the National Health Insurance policy, hospital management is faced with the challenges of balancing between saving costs and maintaining high-quality medical services. As a result, hospital personnel suffers from burnout caused by long-term overload and workplace stress. This study aimed to explore the impact of hospital personnel’s job stress on burnout. The results of this study can be used as a reference for hospital managers for managing the stress of hospital personnel in order to establish a friendlier working environment. Methods This study adopted a cross-sectional study design and employed nursing personnel from hospitals in Taichung City as research subjects. A total of 491 out of 600 questionnaires were retrieved. SPSS V20.0 was utilized for descriptive and inferential statistical analyses. Results The results showed that gender tended to affect subjects’ perceived levels of burnout and stress in the workplace; personnel from various tiers of hospitals appeared to have different perceptions of workplace burnout; and stress generally affected their perceived levels of burnout. Conclusions It is advised that hospital managers promote stress-releasing activities, combining leisure activities into medical care services, so as to reduce job stress of nursing personnel, improve physical and mental health, and perceived safety and satisfaction, and thereby, improve their care quality and commitment to services.
