大學生基本能力自我評估之研究:以台灣中部一所科技大學為例

The Study on College Students' Self-Assessment of Core Competencies: Exploration at a University in Central Taiwan

摘要


大學課程一般區分為專業課程與通識課程兩部分,但二者有其共同所欲培養的基本能力。我國教育部於2000年開始分段實施中小學的十大基本能力課程,其學生逐步進入大學,因此本研究的目的是讓大學學生自我評估所具有的基本能力。研究對象以台灣中部某科技大學1,523位大學部學生進行自我評估問卷調查研究,結果發現大學生自評具有的各種基本能力同意程度並不高,尤其在「規劃、組織與實踐」與「主動探索與研究」向度上同意具有程度最低。基本能力向度間的相關性上,以「培養所需工作能力」與「獨立思考與解決問題」二者相關最高,但「運用科技與資訊」向度與其他向度間的相關普遍最低。整體而言,大學男生自評結果高於大學女生,大二學生高於大一學生,但大三、大四學生並未隨年級增加而提升,各系間亦有所差異。本研究根據研究結果加以討論並提供建議。

The common capabilities cultivated between professional education and general education courses in colleges are core competencies. Since 2000, Taiwan's Ministry of Education has gradually implemented 10 core competencies in elementary and junior high school curriculums. Subsequently, these students have entered colleges. This study is to explore a college students' self-assessment of their performance of the 10 core competencies. The study tool is a self-assessment questionnaire completed by 1,523 undergraduate students from a specific science and technology university in central Taiwan. The results indicate that the college students' satisfaction level on their core competencies was not high. The ”planning, organization, and implementation” and ”exploration and research initiative” dimensions received the lowest scores. Among competencies dimensions, ”work ability training” and ”independent thinking and problem-solving” exhibited the highest correlation, whereas the ”use of technology and information” dimension had the lowest correlation with the other dimensions. Overall, the male college students reported higher self-assessment results compared to female college students. Sophomore students reported higher results compared to freshmen students; however, the scores of the junior and senior students did not increase with age. Subtle differences in the results exist between departments. Discussion and recommendations are provided based on results.
