視覺化PETTLEP意象訓練對手榴彈門窗投擲準確性的影響:內在和外在視角的比較

Effects of visualized PETTLEP imagery on grenade throw in the field window: A comparison of internal and external perspectives

摘要


目的:本研究透過Holmes與Collins(2001)所發展的視覺化PETTLEP意象訓練來檢驗對軍校生手榴彈門窗投擲之擲準表現的影響。方法:以63位軍校體育科學生(平均年齡20.19 ± 0.40歲)為研究對象,將其隨機分配至內在意象組、外在意象組和控制組,每組各21名。內在意象組和外在意象組參加為期6週,每週3次的視覺化PETTLEP意象訓練與身體訓練,而控制組只參加身體訓練。所得資料以二因子混合設計變異數分析進行手榴彈擲準表現的差異比較。結果:相較於前測,外在意象組與內在意象組在訓練後的手榴彈擲準表現均有顯著提升,控制組則無;在後測成績上,外在意象組顯著高於內在意象及控制組,但內在意象組與控制組則無差異。結論:證實意象訓練對國軍戰技的動作技能也具有促進效果,而且外在意象訓練比內在意象訓練具有更好的成效。動作技能性質、介入方式、和參與者技能水準可能影響意象視角對動作表現的功效,未來研究需進一步加以研究。

Purpose: By using Holmes and Collins's (2001) PETTLEP imagery model, this study examined the effects of a visualized PETTLEP imagery on grenade throwing accuracy in military cadets. Method: This study sampled 63 cadets from the Army Academy in Taiwan (age = 20.19 ± 0.40 yrs.) and randomly assigned them to three groups: internal imagery, external imagery and control groups. Both the internal imagery and external imagery groups participated in a 6-week visualized PETTLEP imagery training (3 times a week) and grenade throw training. The imagery training integrated all 7 elements of PETTLEP imagery, but the control group only participated in grenade throw training. The differences in grenade throwing accuracy were analyzed by two-way mixed design ANOVA. Results: The external imagery group and internal imagery group both demonstrated an improvement of grenade throwing accuracy, while the control group did not. Furthermore, the external imagery group performed a higher accuracy than the internal imagery group and control group in the post-test. No difference in throw accuracy was observed between the internal imagery group and the control group in the post-test. Conclusion: This study extends the effects of imagery on sports performance to military combat skills and emphasizes the additional benefits of external imagery perspective. Moreover, future studies are suggested to examine the moderating roles of motor skill characteristics, skill level and intervention nature in the relationship between imagery training and motor performance.
