The purpose of this study is to explore the factors which impact store numbers and sales of claw vender machines in selected twenty Taiwan's administrative regions (excluding Jinmen County and Lianjiang County) by semi-annual data from June 2013 to December 2018. The independent variables include two business indicators (unemployment rate and labor force participation rate). The other four independent variables belong to the demographic structure, including foreign workers compared to local population ratio, the education degree above university for upper fifteen years old population, elderly population ratio, and seven to eighteen years old people ratio. The empirical results show that the fever of claw vender machines is a counter-business cycle indicator. Moreover, the proportions of foreign workers, the elderly, and seven-to-eighteen years old people have significantly positive impacts on the store numbers and sales of claw vender machines. They are major customers of claw vender machines.
