This study explored the experience and exercise attitude of audiences after watching sports movies. This study targeted university students in the Taipei area as the participants. A total of 620 copies of valid questionnaires were distributed. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and hierarchical regression were used to analyze participant data, and the results indicated that (a) university students who watched sports movies tended to evaluate the audience experience positively and exhibit positive exercise attitude; (b) the audiences' experience of sensing, feeling, thinking, action, association, and exercise attitude were highly correlated with knowledge, affection, and behavior, and (c) the audiences' experience of feeling, thinking, action, and association were the most effective variables for explaining exercise attitude. According to the results, sports-movie watching can be incorporated into physical education curricula or used as a sports appreciation teaching method in universities. Students can develop sports knowledge and learn the educational and cultural value of sports by watching sports movies. In addition, sports-movie watching can enhance the sports motivation of students, enabling them to develop positive behaviors and establish positive values regarding sports.
