利用光刺激發光劑量計及自製計讀儀進行放射治療之劑量評估的可行性評估

Design, Fabrication and Characterization of a Self-made Reader for Optical Stimulated Luminescence Dosimeter

摘要


光刺激發光劑量計(Optical Stimulated Luminescence Dosimeter, OSLD)已逐漸在國外成為評估輻射劑量的重要工具,但礙於商業化之OSLD目前僅做為人員劑量佩章及皮膚劑量計等用途,其體積太大而無法放置於侖道假體(Rando phantom)內進行體內器官劑量測量。本研究團隊已完成自製OSLD計讀儀之特性測試,並進一步取得體積較小的OSLD材料並放置於侖道假體內,進行放射治療體內器官劑量測量與劑量驗證。以自製OSLD計讀系統評估之結果,與TLD及商業化之人員劑量佩章評估之劑量結果相較,皆於5%之誤差內。綜合而論,本研究自製之OSLD劑量計讀系統,搭配直徑3.2mm之OSL劑量計晶片,可使用於醫學診療時病人體內之器官劑量及全身有效劑量的評估。

Optically stimulated luminescence dosimeter (OSLD) has become a crucial tool for assessing radiation doses. However, commercialized OSLD can only be used as personnel dosimeter badges and skin dosimeter and cannot be placed in Rando phantoms to measure internal organ doses because of its large size. In current, relatively small-sized OSLD materials were obtained. We performed the Feasibility assessment for using OSLD and self-made OSLD reader in the organ-dose measurements of radiotherapy. The estimated dose differences compared with TLD and commercialized dose badges are within 5 %. In conclusion, the self-made OSLD dosimeter reading system, coupling with the OSLD chips in diameter of 3.2 mm developed in this study, can assess the organ doses and effective dose of a patient whom was performed medical radiological diagnosis and treatment.
