民主時代所需要的歷史教育──以台灣高級中學歷史教科書為中心的探討

History Education Meeting the Needs of the Era of Democracy: With a Focus on the Reform of Senior High School History Textbooks

摘要


臺灣從威權轉型到民主,原本受到意識形態箝制的歷史教育,也應該隨之解放並進行變革。本論文即以高級中學教科書為中心,探討其轉變的軌跡及應行之道,並針對由此衍生的反動論述,予以駁斥。文中指出:不論是課綱的擬定、以及教科書審查等法定程序,或者是教科書的內容,都應該符合民主的價值。尤其在內容方面,可以說至少要進行「虛假→真實」、「中國→臺灣」、「威權→民主」三個方面的位移,才能真正為民主打下堅實的基礎。

In the transition of Taiwan from authoritarianism to democracy, history education that had been suffering from ideological restraints must be freed in this process to carry out necessary reforms. This article focuses on the textbooks for Senior High Schools and explores the traces of their transition and the paths they should take. It will also discuss reactionary discourses that arose during this process and will refute them. This article emphasizes the following point: whether we are dealing with the legal processed of formulating school syllabi and reviewing school textbooks or analyzing their content, all these steps must conform to democratic values. This applies particularly to their content. We can say that at least a shift in three respects must occur, i.e. from "fake to fact," from "China to Taiwan" and from "authoritarianism for democracy." Only then will it be possible to build a strong foundation for democracy.
