「自然科學與音樂」:跨領域通識教育課程設計與實施模式之回顧及探討

Natural Science and Music: The Review and Study of the Design and Practical Model for the Interdisciplinary Course of General Education

摘要


本文實例「自然科學與音樂」博雅涵養課程,自89學年開始授課迄今已有十年,共計31班計1948名大學部同學選修該課程。本文主要敘述台灣通識教育發展之歷程、技專校院通識教育之重要性、跨領域通識課程「自然科學與音樂」具體教學實施方式和內容之回顧與改進策略,藉由「自然科學與音樂」之講授,探討數學與音樂的多元對話,進而促進科技與人文藝術之融合,希望能提供跨領域通識教育課程講授的另一種思考模式,分享本課程施行之教學經驗,做為其它學校通識教育課程的參考,鼓舞大家積極參與通識教育課程之設計和實施。

The case of general education course of liberal arts ”natural science and music” was given at the academic year of 2000 till now. There were 1948 students enrolled in 31 classes during 10 years. Here, we describe the development of general education in Taiwan, the importance of the general education to the colleges and universities of technology, and the examples of「natural science and music」 course. In this study, we try to discuss the multiple dialogues between mathematics and music in order to provide a new concept to the courses of general education by the integration of technologies and humanities. Besides, we would review and list out the strategies and methods for carrying out the course as well as the reference model in order to realize the expected effects. Hopefully, we would like to share these experiences with the other colleges and universities for their general education.
