運動員認同、生涯阻隔、心理韌性與因應策略之相關研究

Relationships among Athletic Identity, Perceptions of Career Barriers, Mental Toughness and Coping in Student Athletes

摘要


本研究目的在於探討學生運動員對於運動員角色之認同與心理韌性以及後續壓力積極或消極因應策略之相關研究。研究對象為230名大學運動員(男生167位、女生63位)。研究結果顯示:運動員認同和心理韌性與積極因應策略有正相關,心理韌性與積極因應策略有正相關、與消極因應策略有負相關。經結構方程模型分析發現運動員認同可以直接預測積極因應策略,也可以經由心理韌性的中介間接預測積極因應策略。但運動員認同對於消極因應策略則無直接、間接的預測力。研究結果指出運動員認同與心理韌性和積極因應策略有正向關聯,運動員認同可以直接以及經由心理韌性中介預測積極因應策略。建議可以經由運動員認同感的強化,提升運動員的心理素質,進而能增進運動表現。

The main purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting perceptions of career barriers, athletic identity, mental toughness and coping strategies, amongst college student athletes. The participants were 230 college student athletes (167 males,63females) selected from Taiwan. The major findings of this study were as follows: athletes' identity and mental toughness were positively correlated with positive coping strategies, mental toughness was positively correlated with positive coping strategies, and negatively correlated with negative coping strategies. Athletic identity could directly predict positive coping strategies, or indirectly predict positive coping strategies through the mediation of mental toughness. The results of the study indicated that athletic identity is positively related to mental toughness and positive coping strategies. Athlete identity could predict positive coping strategies directly and by the mediating effect of mental toughness. It is suggested that through the strengthening of the athletic identity could improve athlete's mental skills and performance.
