建構一個適地性服務兼具行動監控的行動學習系統

The Development of a Mobile Learning System with Provisioning for Location-Based Services and Monitoring

摘要


近年來行動裝置和GPS(Global Positioning System)定位技術的成熟,使得行動學習和無所不在學習成為新的學習趨勢。利用新的行動科技和根據學習情境進行設計的學習教材或平台,將會大幅降低學習者的學習門檻,使其能更方便的蒐集、查詢及統整資料。納入GPS定位技術的學習平台,讓學習者有著身歷其境的感受,明顯的提升學習效率。本研究建立了一個適地性的行動學習平台,以台中市的老樹為初期學習資料庫,利用行動裝置內建的GPS定位功能,找到學習者所在位置,提供學習者適地性服務(Location-Based Service, LBS)。除了讓學習者可以方便、即時的認識台中市的老樹,本系統也提供監控的功能,可以標記出戶外學習者的位置與活動軌跡。此外藉由Web2.0的技術,學者專家可與一般使用者協同合作,參與更新與新增資料的作業,隨時更新學習內容。

The technologies of mobile devices and GPS make mobile learning and ubiquitous-learning become possible. Adopting both technologies together can reduce the study threshold of learners and enable the easy development of study materials or platform designs based on the learning environment. A learning system containing positioning technology is should enhance learning. In this study, we implement a location-based mobile learning system using the sample database of old trees in Taichung, Taiwan. Location-aware applications are performed using a GPS positioning function that has been widely constructed in smart phones and personal mobile devices. This system not only facilitates learners in instantly becoming acquainted with old trees in Taichung, but provides a monitoring function, that is convenient for locating the learners' positions. In addition, experts can cooperate with general users to insert and update the information of old trees by using the technology of Web2.0 through the developed system.
