The National Museum of Natural Science, located in Taichung City of Taiwan, began its avian specimen collection since 1984. The main purpose of the specimen collection is to preserve the scientific evidence and to provide inspection service for research need from the public. So far there are 30 species of raptor specimen from 2 orders and 4 families collected in the museum. The specimens are preserved in forms of skin, skeleton or tissue. The detailed species and numbers of raptor specimen are listed hereinafter for reader's reference.
