圖解識字教學原理探討

The Introduction of Principles of Learning Vocabulary by Visualization

摘要


文字是文化傳承的首要載體,「前人所以垂後,後人所以識古」;漢字教學的成效,攸關語文教育的優劣成敗、文化的薪傳。識字教學是語文教育的根本,語文教育是一切學科教育的基礎。如何有效提升識字教學的成效是目前語文教育極須面對的問題,更是文化傳承的挑戰。 圖解識字教學,以圖像的方式呈現造字本義、介紹字形演變、解釋相同成分的字、分析形似字。此乃結合文字學與認知心理的方式,與其他識字教學法並不相違背,更能強化學習動機,具有識字快速、印象深刻的特點,對學習者而言,是一種既好玩又有效的方式。 本文從漢字構造的特性、漢字與意義的關係、認知心理與漢字辨識、漢字識字教學的討論,由內而外,層層說明圖解識字的教學原理。

Characters are the main carrier of culture. Through characters, ancient values or things could pass and be succeeded. The efficiency of teaching of Chinese characters has a close relationship with the success of language education and the passing of culture. Word recognition is the base of language education and language is further the foundation of all academic subjects. How to elevate the efficiency of the teaching of word recognition is the major problem language educators are facing now. It's also the great challenge of the passing of culture. Learning vocabulary by visualization is a method using images to present and introduce the formation of characters and the development of the form of characters. It also explains and analyzes the characters having similar structures, sounds or meanings. This method is based on the theory of etymology and cognitive psychology. It is not the opposite of other teaching methods of word recognition. On the contrary, this method could help learners recognize words faster and have a deeper impression. It could also motivate learners. For them, it's an effective and interesting way to learn. This article discusses the characteristics of Chinese characters, the relationship between their forms and meanings and the application of cognitive psychology in word recognition. The discussions are from easier ones to more complicated ones. It helps to demonstrate the teaching principles of learning vocabulary by visualization step by step.
