The Development of the Test of Early Number and Operations

摘要


本研究目的在編製幼兒數與運算能力測驗,用以評量4至6歲幼兒的數學能力。研究者先閱讀相關文獻後,整理出幼兒數學能力的內涵架構,之後編擬20項作業,集結為數字系統知識、數字關係、計數、應用問題、及計算問題等五個分測驗,然後以40位4到6歲幼兒進行預試。研究結果發現,本測驗具有內容效度與構念效度;信度方面,本測驗的內部一致性係數在.575至.830之間,大多數作業的重測信度在.630至.905之間。整體而言,本測驗對了解學前幼兒的數學能力具參考價值。

The Test of Early Number and Operations was developed to measure 4- to 6- year olds' mathematical competence. The relevant literature on young children's mathematical competence were reviewed first, then the content of early mathematical competence was constructed, and twenty tasks were designed. There were five subtests in the Test of Early Number Concepts and Operations, including knowledge of numerical system, number relations, counting, word problems, and number facts. Forty 4- to 6- year olds were included as pilot-test subjects. The results showed that the content validity and construct validity were satisfactory. The internal consistency reliability indicated by Chronbach α ranged from .575 to .830. Most test-retest reliability coefficients were .630 to .905. Overall, this test functioned effectively for assessment of young children's mathematical competence.
