吳中川教練在臺灣柔道運動發展的定位探索

摘要

本文旨將吳中川教練於柔道運動之推展歷程、英才培育與訓練站設建等貢獻完整呈現；並以口述歷史方式進行資料收集及整理。於資源匱乏的年代，吳教練克服種種困難全心投注於柔道運動之教育推展，於嘉義縣朴子市竹村國小創立柔道校隊，期間培育之優秀選手無數。之後，率其優秀子弟勇闖「1988年漢城奧運」，冀望贏取錦標並捐出全數獎金興建一座柔道訓練館，惟事與願違；幸由中華民國體育運動總會協助籌資，全國首座具規模的柔道訓練站就此誕生。吳教練藉此指導培育出無數的優秀選手，並於1990至2009年榮獲甚多獎項肯定；而這段時期也正是臺灣柔道運動發展史中最輝煌的黃金時期。吳中川教練承日據時代之柔道運動發展，懷高度之熱誠與堅持，致力於柔道運動之推廣教育，於臺灣柔道運動發展史中確有其不可磨滅的貢獻與地位。

In succession to the development of judo exercise seeding from the Japanese Government Ruling Time, the Coach Wu Chung Chuan and his teacher, with their persistency enthusiasm, contributed great efforts on promotion in judo. With a predicament, been scanty of every materials and place, Coach Wu overcame any other impediment to precede his training program about judo. He raised his judo team, the member had ever reach up to about hundred players, in Cheu Chun elementary school in Pu Tzu, Chia Yi. Coach Wu and his student, Chou Yu Ping, to build a judo kan. They tried to raise funds by winning the prize from Seoul Olympic Games, 1988. With the failure to get in the four remaining Olympic berths, they have dream dashed with full pity. However, Chuang Fong Shiu who was the chairman of Republic of China Sports Federation was so touched this story and then raised the found from government to fulfill their dream. Therefore, the only one judo stadium by government built. The players trained by Coach Wu in this judo stadium had dominated in all of championships during 80's to 90's which the golden judo era in Taiwan.
