Inspired by my personal outdoor experiences in Scandinavia, this study aims to introduce a Scandinavia "Friluftsliv" open-air life to Taiwan people. Three common outdoor activities which Taiwanese known well are addressed in the first part: outdoor education, leisure and recreation activities and outdoor sports. Second, I gave a sketch of the origins of Friluftsliv, its philosophical implication, as well as its applications for ecological practice. Finally, I suggest that a local outdoor lifestyle is constructed through generations, thus, forming an outdoor habitus and a sense of natural places would reinforce people's identity and recognition to nature. Moreover, keeping nature writing would be a way to share a love to our natural environment with public general, and invite more people to join our outdoor life. I believe that learning from Scandinavian Friluftsliv would provide us an approach to build a stronger connection between I-Nature relationship. Furthermore, with the Friluftsliv concept in mind, we would learn to cherish the beauty of natural landscape, and maintain the happiness of social society.
