Treatment of Ovarian Cyst with Chinese Medicine - A Case Report

摘要

一位43歲女性，民國九十一年後半年發現左側卵巢囊腫約五公分左右，經三個月後複檢腫瘤增大為7.3×8.3公分。病患除下腹部脹悶不適外，另有口臭及胃部不適之症狀，曾經中醫治療，口臭、胃脹痛不適改善不多，而且卵巢腫瘤，自發現經一年後增大為11×8公分，病患因畏懼而暫緩開刀，於是到門診求診。患者主訴以口臭、噁心、胃悶脹為主，先後給予清胃散合甘露消毒丹，及半夏瀉心湯合平胃散，治療三個月，胃悶脹改善一半以上，而卵巢囊腫依舊。由於患者經常口乾、舌苔較薄，可能有肝腎陰虛之證候，改以半夏瀉心湯合一貫煎加減治療。一個月後再度檢查超音波，囊腫已經消失，同時病患胃悶脹也明顯獲得改善。

A 43-year-old female patient had a about 5 x 5cm left ovarian cyst noted one year ago.3 month later, the cyst grew up to 7.3X8.3 cm. Other complaints included halitosis and nausea for more than one year. She had taken some Chinese medicine but in vain, and the cyst grew up to 11X8 cm. Then she visited our department seeking for help. The patient, with medium-sized statue, complaint halitosis, nausea and abdominal fullness persisted for more than one year. So “Qing Wei San” combined with “Gan Lou Xiao Du Dan” was given for halitosis first, followed with “Ban Xia Xie Xin Tang” combined with “Ping Wei San”. 3 month later, halitosis, nausea and abdominal fullness got better, but the cyst didn’t change. Owion to frequent dry mouth and thin tongue fur, “Ban Xia Xie Xin Tang” combined with “Yi Guan Jian” was given under the diagnosis as “Yin Vacuity of Liver and Kidney” in terms of “pattern identification” in Chinese medicine. One month later, the symptoms inproved much and the ovarian cyst disappeared.
