Regulatory bodies have been ignoring the existence and positioning of tui-na assistant in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) profession for quite a long time. It is indisputable that TCM clinics hire staffs without proper training for the purpose of providing tui-na to patients. Although the work is closely related to public health, it is not legitimate. This article has concluded archived documents related to TCM assistant, relative regulations in China and Taiwan Court Practice in order to discuss a proper change for current regulations and administration.
