The purposes of this study was to, first of all, analyze the differences of speed of footstep displacement at different preparative positions in forehand far-body volleyed. Secondly, analyze the differences of speed of footstep displacement at different preparative positions in backhand far-body volleyed. Third, examine the distance from the net at different preparative positions in forehand farbody volleyed. Fourth, examine the distance from the net at different preparative positions in backhand far-body volleyed. Method: Made video recording by the cine-camera and volley movements actually, and then the images are sent to the Silicon Coach Pro to analyze. Later, the information is analyzed by descriptive statistics and related sample one-way analysis of variance. The results of the study showed; First, when a player is making forehand or backhand volley, there is significant differences in the speed of footstep displacement and distance from the net(p<.05). Secondly, when player stand 2 meters away from the net, the speed of footstep displacement will be faster than those who stand 1.5 or 1 meter. At this proper distance, the distance from the net in using close footwork is also good for player to make ”V-shape” volley.
