Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the physiological condition and measure the correlation of different physiological index among basketball players in different levels, in order to establish the physiological test protocol for basketball game. And expect the protocol can be used to monitor the player's condition and to distinction the player's ability. Methods: The subject was 42 male basketball players from 4 levels including super basketball league (SBL) and varsities players (SBL = 8; varsities: UBA1 = 14, UBA2 = 12, UBA3 = 8). Use the counter movement jump and squat jump to measure the explosive power of the lower limbs. The speed and agility was separately measured by 20-meter sprint and 505 agility test. The aerobic capacity was measured by a 20-m multistage shuttle run test. The anaerobic power was measured by a 5 × 6-second repeat-effort test. The statistical difference among different level was assessed by one-way ANOVA and Scheffé's post hoc tests, and the relationship of different physiological index were tested by applying Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: (1) Performance: The SBL player were significantly quick than other level's player in the preferred foot of 505-agility test; In VO2max the UBA3 player was significantly lower than other level's player; It was significant better performance for SBL's anaerobic power; (2) Correlation: The speed had significant correlation with the agility test-dominant foot. The peak power, average power, and total work of 5 × 6-second repeat-effort test had a significant correlated with VO2max. Last. The peak power and total work had significant correlation with Power of CMJ, and the power decrease percentage was significantly correlation with power of SJ. Conclusion: The SBL level player was perform significantly better than other levels in 505 agility test (preferred foot) and 5 × 6-second repeat-effort test. Therefore we suggested those test is applicable to be major test in basketball fitness test. On the other hand the 20-m multistage shuttle run test was reliable test, it has convenient for test and to get test result rapidly, hence this test can be employment to measure the fitness conditioning in each level basketball player.
