A 57 year-old woman presented with long-term headache for 28 years. After receiving dilation and curettage in 1983, she got severe headache while taking a shampoo. The headache happened accompanying with chillness, heavy head, arthralgia. She had visited many doctors for her illness, however, she was still suffering for headache. So she asked for help of our department of traditional Chinese internal medicine in June, 2011. The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) diagnosis was external contraction of wind-cold-dampness on greater yang meridian, so treatment for wind-dampness dispelling and cold dispersing was given. After treatment for 1 week, the patient got an obvious ease of her headache. Now, regular follow-up is performed and the patient has a stable condition.
