探討碩士班學生進階精神衛生護理能力自我評價之策略與運用

Exploring Postgraduate Nursing Students' Competence Self-evaluation Tool in Advance Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Curriculum

摘要


健康專業教育強調能力自我評價有助於個人專業能力之發展,護理碩士班培育進階專業護理師具有核心能力與學養、精熟護理專業技能、關懷及批判思考等能力,而能力自我評價必須仔細的結構,並從外部審計,以確保其真實性,但卻鮮見專業能力自我評價之研究。本研究目的為發展護理碩士班進階精神衛生護理能力自我評價工具與策略。採行動研究法,有5位教師與7位碩士班學生共同參與,由97-98學年進階精神衛生護理課程及實習活動,發展、實施及驗證本研究發展之進階精神衛生護理師專業能力自我評價工具與策略。研究結果:1.以進階精神衛生護理師專業能力為藍圖,並參照Bernner's Dreyfus model of skill acquisition五層級能力架構,建立能力自我評價工具;2.學生在完成進階精神衛生護理課程與實習後,有八成學生自評能勝任或精熟進階精神衛生護理師之專業能力、人本關懷與批判思考能力。研究結果顯示二維式進階精神衛生護理能力自我評價工具與策略之可行性,不僅可提供碩士班學生規劃能力導向之學習,並適用於評價學生進階精神衛生護理能力之達成狀況。

Health care professions emphasize self-evaluation is an important mechanism for lifelong learning and improving professional competence. For the Master-Degree program of nursing cultivation for advanced practice, nurses have competence of advanced nursing practice knowledge, caring skills, and critical thinking. The self-evaluation must be carefully structured and externally audited to ensure their veracity. However, only few studies explore nursing students who carry out self-evaluation about their performance and competence, in order to determine their own learning needs and learning outcome. This study, thus, is for the purpose to develop self-evaluation tool and strategies, and how the postgraduate nursing students use this tool to evaluate their advanced psychiatric nursing competence. The result shows that the tool can be useful for self-direct learning and professional development. This study adopts the methods of action research, multiple interviews and discussions with five psychiatric faculties and seven students. Based on the advanced psychiatric and mental health nursing professional competence as a blueprint, and in the light of Bernner's Dreyfus model of skill acquisition of five level schema, this study builds a competence self-evaluation tool. The students undertaking the advanced mental health nursing course for three phases, there are 80% students' self-evaluation is qualified to perform advanced psychiatric mental health nursing capabilities, humanistic care, and critical thinking skills. The findings of this study demonstrates the two-dimensional advanced mental health nursing competence self-evaluation tool and strategies can provide master's program students with a planning guide to learn and are applicable to advanced mental health nursing students' competences evaluation.
