摘要

《說文解字》在流傳過程中曾經過三次重要的整理與校訂，首先是唐大曆年問李陽冰的刊定；其次是北宋徐鉉等人的奉敕校定，即今所謂《大徐本》；最後則爲清代學者對《說文》一書的考訂與校補。清代「說文之學」大盛，校勘工作則是《說文》全面研究的基礎，而學者們用力最深者，首推對歷代古書中《說文》異文材料的搜集。本文先由清代《說文》校勘著作中分類輯錄引用《說文》異文材料，共計88種，再由「校勘爲《說文》研究之基礎」、「材料旁徵博引」、「考證方法細密」與「成果信而可徵」四端加以分析，希望藉此彰顯清儒考據之功。
