In Taiwan, the house dust mite was an important allergen to allergic diseases; however the research finished was forced on Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Dp). Blomia tropicalis (Bt) were the common house dust mite species in southern Taiwan where are damp and hot. Through the OPD, 123 subjects between July 2004 and August 2004 with allergic rhinitis, and measured with Pharmacia CAP System for inhalant allergens. The correlation of Total IgE between Dp and Bt were 0.623 and 0.643 respectively, and Pearson coefficient were significantly. (p<0.01) If male subjects, the correlation of total IgE between Dp and Bt were 0.59 and 0.57 (p<0.01); The female research subjects, the correlation of total IgE between Dp and Bt were 0.676 and 0.744 respectively, the Pearson coefficient were significantly. (p<0.01) It was concluded that there were relative significantly between Blomia tropicalis and female subjects with allergic rhinitis in Southwest Taiwan. (Yunlin、Chiayi and Tainan)
