中西文明的接觸、衝突與適應類型

杭廷頓、薩伊德等人對文明接觸乃至衝突的研究啟發了本文，金觀濤、劉青峰、蕭功秦認為抗日建國時期「農民民族主義」、文化大革命時期「新華夏中心主義」是中國文明兩次中心，研究者以為中國當前獨立自主路線仍然是自我中心。本研究假設文明接觸可以產生「吸收融合型」、「獨立自主型」、「革命更生型」、「去中國化型」和「衝突反抗型」五種適應模式。近代中西文明接觸兩百多年、其間政治事件、社會變遷、經濟發展、文化轉型各種因素交叉呈現，本研究挑選1897-1901義和團、1862-1894「自強運動」、1898「維新運動」、1895-1911興中會、同盟會、1919-1935「五四運動」、1924-1956中國共產黨、1966-1976文化大革命、1968-今新加坡1978-今大陸開放、1992-今台灣民主等十段時期，歸類當時社會對接觸西方文明的適應模式，並從整體國家利益上給予評分。大陸所提出的亞洲價值論，正是本研究得分較高的模式。中國有願景、有能力再度成為中心文明，它與「農民民族主義」、「新華夏中心主義」，有性質、內涵、訴求的明顯差別；而且它整理了中國文明特質，諸如：重視集體主義、家庭價值、勤儉道德、思想教育與政府職能，最重要的是它重新回到了儒家價值，值得我政府的注意。
