台灣光碟片產業經營效率之研究

A Study on Operational Efficiency of Compact Disc Industry in Taiwan

摘要

近年來隨著光碟片需求的大幅成長與光碟片的生產規模不斷擴增，造成光碟片廠商的價格競爭激烈。因此，光碟片廠商是否己對使用投入與產出資源做最有效的運用、及時檢討資源、浪費、和如何有效控制成本等問題，以創造有利的競爭優勢?都是廠商在競爭激烈的光碟片產業中，所面對的重要課題。
本文根據1999到2002年台灣十三家上市櫃光碟片廠商資料，利用資料包絡分析法及Malmquist生產力指數，評估各廠商之經營效率及生產力變動情形。研究結果如下：
一、E公司在整體技術效率、純粹技術效率和規模效率上，皆處於相對有效率。
二、Malmquist生產力指數表現較佳的廠商為A、B、D、E、F、G、H、I、K、L、N。

Along with the increase in demand of compact discs, and the improvement of industry production lines, price competition has increased significantly in the past few years. As a result, it becomes more important for companies to have effective self-evaluating systems to utilize resource optimally, to control production costs more effectively, and to create competitive advantages. There problems are all crucial to the survival of compact discs industry.
This research uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Malmquist to evaluate the efficiency of 13 compact disc firms from 1999 to 2002. The results found that:
1. E firm in overall technical efficiency 、pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency aspects are all relatively more effective.
2. The Malmquist index demonstrates that A, B, D, E, F, G, H, I, K, L and M perform better.
