實證護理之養成教育

Evidence-Based Nursing Education in Academic Program

摘要


自1992年加拿大McMaster大學Gordon Guyatt教授所領導的團隊正式提出「實證醫學」之命名後,全球醫療專業對實證應用的推展大幅成長。護理實務照顧中執行實證應用已被認為是非常重要而有價值的處置決策方式,然而,實證護理的推行往往受限於實際執行的臨床護理人員的準備度,由於欠缺對於研究及統計分析的知能,以及系統性查閱文獻的能力,往往造成他們對依據實證進行護理心生畏懼,不知如何起步。因此建議應在護理養成教育中融入實證照護的教導,讓學生心無旁騖,長期浸淫在實證實務的學習及課業要求中,建構對實證護理的知能及臨床執行的興趣及信心。本文提供在護理教育中推展實證護理的經驗:大學學士學程中,實證護理教育可以分散在四個年級進行,並配合臨床實習實際執行課室所學實證護理知能,而碩士學程中則指導學生運用實證證據資訊,發展臨床照護方案或創新行政專案計畫。

This article proposes courses to embed evidence-based practice into nursing curricula. In 1992, Dr. Gordon Guyatt and his team first defined "Evidence-Based Medicine" and encouraged evidence-based practice in patients care. The value of evidence-based care in nursing practice was also recognized as valuable in clinical applications. However, a major limitation lies in nurses' lack of educational preparation in accessing and using evidence-based practice. Integrating evidence-based practice into formal curriculum may prepare nurses' ability to build their competency and confidence in clinical application. The proposal includes designing courses in the undergraduate nursing curriculum that requires students to apply evidence-based nursing knowledge into clinical practice and in graduate curriculum requiring students to develop clinical mini-protocol based on evidence-based nursing principles.
