電子媒體和報紙對資訊産業相關訊息的日日呈現,無時不在告訴閱聽衆資訊業已是台灣重要經濟動力之一;但是「資訊」一詞如何現身島内、又怎麽成爲我们所認識之充滿經濟舆技術色彩的圖像(image)呢?本文沿著「科技精英如何想像(imagining)「資訊」?又如何藉著對資訊的表述来建構常民生活世界圖像」提問出發,並從「政策」、「産業」和「教育」三個環節加以檢視,發现台灣的資訊化社會建構,係科技精英被抛擲於所處的曆史環境,以其自身獨特方式見到此有利於國家經濟;但追求國家現代化的過程,誠使臺灣的資訊人力培育「量」不断增加、CNP等經濟指數逐年攀升,更以「矽産業」爲全球市場主要供應者自豪;卻掩蓋不住失業、貧富不均和缺乏基礎科研轉化成創新動能窘境。
Every day, the electronic media and the newspaper release the information industry related news to tell the readers that information industry is already been one of the important economic power in Taiwan However, how does the phrase ”information” emerge in the island and how does it become as the image frill of economical and technical color? This article starts with the question of how technocracy image the ”information” and how to use it to construct the image of life world. From the policy, industry, and education points, I thought that informational society in Taiwan is generated by technical elite, who has been thrown in the unique historical environment, based on their anticipation that the information industry would foster the national economic growth. Nevertheless, during the country's modernization process, the number of information trainees in Taiwan does increase continuously and the economics index, such as GNP and so on, goes up year by year Also, Taiwan is identified as the major supplier of the silicon industry in the world. Yet, the problems of unemployment, disparity between the rich and the poor, and the lack of transformation form basic scientific research into innovation energy still exit in Taiwan.
