Purpose: The purpose of current study was to investigate the effect via the changing of gender equality education in physical education class for student's engagement with gender stereotypes. Methods: The participants were freshman of one university of science and technology in Hualien city. The Gender stereotypes scale was used to examine the variation before and after the contextual intervention; correlated sample t-test was used to complete the analysis. Observation and focus group interview were used to collect data and records of Gender stereotypes. In order to ensure the overall learning quality were also interviewed to examine the learning and performance of students. Results: The results were: 1. For Gender stereotypes engagement, all subscales were significantly different between before and after scores. 2. Within the intervention, students were to structure their concept in the beginning. The students were experience course to put forward the suggestions, and tried to self-reflection about gender stereotypes. Conclusion: The study revealed positive effect for gender stereotypes by concept of students.
